What You Can Do
AOL allows you to turn off this compression and you'll be able to see websites as they were intended. Follow the instructions below.

If you're using AOL 6.0 & higher

1. Click on Settings, then on Preferences
2. Under Organization, click on Internet Properties (WWW)
3. Click Web Graphics, select Never compress graphics, then click OK.
You need to restart your AOL software for the change to take effect.


If you're using AOL 4.0 or 5.0.

1. Click on My AOL, then Preferences.
2. Click on the WWW icon, then on Web Graphics.
3. Uncheck the box marked Use Compressed Graphics, then click OK.
You need to restart your AOL software for the change to take effect.


If you're using AOL 3.0

Go to Members and then Preferences
Then click on WWW then on Internet Properties.
Uncheck the box marked Use Compressed Graphics, then click OK.
You need to restart your AOL software for the change to take effect.
